Let's get involved and stamp out abortion! God bless.

Abortion and Breast Cancer

While listening to Teresa Tomeo's broadcast over Guadalupe Radio in the Dallas area yesterday morning I heard one of her guests speaking about a link between abortion and breast cancer.

Apparently, a full term pregnancy gives a woman less chance of developing breast cancer due to the cells that are developed in breast tissue. Abortion interrupts that cell development but a miscarriage does not.

Since I was driving on the Dallas North Tollway at the time I was not able to jot down any Internet links that were mentioned and there was no way my memory was going to come to the rescue later, so I emailed Teresa Tomeo with my request.

I received a reply this morning with several links. This is a good link: http://www.bcpinstitute.org/home.htm . Just scroll down to the bottom of the page to access the article. This link on Life Site News is another: http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/sep/09090807.html .

Since when is taking the life of an unborn baby considered 'health care'? Why does the Susan B. Komen Foundation take money from Planned Parenthood when abortion increases a woman's risk of developing cancer? This is all about money. Big money. And Planned Parenthood can't stay in business without government funds. I say, let's put them out of business. NOW!

Why do we sit by and allow our tax dollars to fund the wholesale slaughter of unborn babies and put women at risk of dying of cancer? If the United States military would consider banning the use of tobacco products because of the link between tobacco use and a host of health problems, why not approach the problem of abortion from the standpoint of a cost analysis since our government clearly doesn't care about the loss of life? Just a thought.....

Dawson

I always look forward to my visits to the Whole Body Healing Center in Lewisville, Texas because quite often Daneen will have her son Dawson with her. He is the sweetest little guy and a joy to be around. I snapped a photo of him back in March when he was seven months old. He will be a year old this month and I need to get another photo of him.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

As a staunch Pro-Lifer I am aghast at the fact that our country has elected a pro abortion president. But I have enough faith in God to know that when life deals us lemons that we should just get on with making lemonade.

The only positive thing I can think of about the results of this election is that if/when the policies that the new government will implement should fail they will only have themselves to blame. In the meantime we had better spend more time on our knees and pray for God's intervention in the Pro-Life cause in this country. Obviously we didn't spend enough time on our knees to begin with or we wouldn't be in this fix now. Mea Culpa! I didn't spend nearly enough time in Adoration and I should have been going to daily Mass for a long time. But I didn't. And a lot of other people didn't. And here we are.

So....lets make lemonade! Any suggestions? I would love to hear your comments.

Daneen & Dawson

I was pleasantly surprised to find my friend, Daneen, at the Whole Body Healing Center in Lewisville, TX today along with Baby Dawson! The last time I was there was the day before Dawson was born, two months ago, and Tim and Daneen had to get to Oklahoma for his birth. Dawson's birth Mom picked Tim and Daneen to adopt him and they are awaiting final paperwork on the adoption. Please keep them in your prayers that all goes well.

I was going to drop off a blanket I had knitted for Tim and Daneen's dog, Whisper, and Daneen grabbed it to wrap around Dawson for the photo. Whisper may have to wait her turn, lol.

A baby's right to life....above Obama's pay grade?????

Once again, Obama has convinced me he is not the man for the job. His comment to Rick Warren about a baby's right to life being above his pay grade didn't surprise me in the least. Why should it? It would have amazed me if he had said anything else. The question is: What IS covered by his pay grade? Nuclear war? Civil rights? And what, if anything, will change if he is elected President of the United States?

Of course, he is just taking the same stance the Supreme Court did in Roe V. Wade. Above our pay grade? Not on your life! Or, rather, not on our unborn children's lives. If he seriously thinks that he can shrug off the question then he is in for a rude awakening. The pro-life citizens of this country will not let him get away with it and every time he opens his mouth he condemns himself in the eyes of God. May God have mercy on his soul....he is going to need it.

You can read what Fr. Frank Pavone has to say about it here.
